Atari’s Quantum (1982) shipped roughly five hundred cabinets, which makes this more archaeology than nostalgia. The dig site so far: a 68000 memory map, the vector instruction set, every entity AI, the full wave structure. 345KB of documentation for a game almost nobody has played. The recreation follows.
